The UK Tier 1 Investor Visa was created for established international business people to enter and settle in the UK as high valued migrants.
What are the criteria for a Tier 1 Investor visa?
You must provide evidence that:
(a) You have £1 million under their control in a UK regulated bank, or
(b) You have net assets exceeding £2 million and have £1 million in the UK (which can be loaned money)
You must invest the money for 5 years in the UK and at least £750,000 must be in UK government bonds, UK equities or loan capital in active trading UK companies. Property investments or offshore companies are not allowed.
There is no requirement for business experience or English language requirements and employment is permitted under this visa.
You must make the UK your main home and spend more than 50% of your time in the UK.
